Understanding and Supporting Students with ADHD

May 1, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am CDT

Free

While approximately 1 in 10 elementary children is diagnosed with ADHD, it is often misunderstood by parents and teachers. 85% of children with ADHD continue to have symptoms through adolescence, and 60% of adolescents have adult ADHD. This presentation will include information to build one’s understanding of ADHD as a brain-based, neurobiological disorder. The impact of ADHD on a child’s behavior will be explained, and strategies and activities to support school-aged children with ADHD will be shared.
